Introduction to Micro-Credential Hub
Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University (BAOU) is taking an initiative to establish a Micro-Credential Hub for learners to provide flexible, short-term,
and industry-oriented skill education that enhances employability, professional development,
and lifelong learning opportunities.
Micro-credentials are short-duration, competency-based courses designed with clearly
defined learning outcomes, assessments, and credit structures to develop specific skills
and professional competencies.

- On-the-job training
The Micro-Credential Hub aims to provide learners with opportunities to acquire
industry-relevant knowledge and practical skills in emerging and multidisciplinary
areas through flexible learning pathways.
Digital Learning Initiative
BAOU plans to deliver these courses through itsIntegrated Learning Management System (iLMS) using online and blended
learning modes to ensure accessible, technology-enabled, and learner-centric education.
This initiative will strengthen BAOU’s commitment towards digital learning, skill development,
innovation, and lifelong education, while creating new opportunities for learners to enhance
their knowledge, competencies, and career readiness in a rapidly evolving world.
